Victor Akhterov knows a bit about suffering and spiritual hunger. He grew up in eastern Ukraine under the Soviet regime, where his father – once a physicist in Moscow – was a political prisoner due to his Christian faith. He is the Director of the Far East Broadcasting Company (FEBC), which offers hope to many across the region.
Victor recounts some shocking and heart-warming stories of people in desperate situations finding community and support via the gift of radio – including an extremely Russian man called Boris who was committed to a psychiatric hospital for a decade for talking to people about Jesus – and addresses the plight of orphans in contemporary Russia.
