How the church is BETTER + WORSE than you ever imagined

SCREENINGS

Keen to host a screening of For the Love of God?

Great! You have a couple of options.

HOST A COMMUNITY SCREENING

Show the documentary at your local church, school, or other community venue.

The process is simple:

  1. Decide whether you want to show the cinema version (90 minutes) or one or more of the full episodes (4 x 1 hour).
  2. Purchase a community screening licence for your planned event.
  3. Organise the event, let people in your community know it’s happening, and start a conversation about how the church is better and worse than you ever imagined!

I WANT TO HOST A CINEMA SCREENING

Christian history is full of violence, corruption, and oppression.

So would we be better off without Christianity? Does religion poison everything?

The history of the church offers plenty of ammunition to its critics. Crusades, inquisitions, witch hunts, the oppression of women ...

For the Love of God: How the church is better and worse than you ever imagined, a documentary by the Centre for Public Christianity, confronts the worst of what Christians have done - and also traces the origins of Western values like human rights, charity, humility, and non-violence back to the influence of Jesus.
